DESCRIPTION
Spelt is an ancient wheat variety. The spelt grains ripen in a thick hull to protect them from contamination. Spelt can be milled into wholemeal spelt flour, which is suitable for baking bread and cakes. Cooked and blended spelt makes a great base for cutlets and spreads.

PREPARATION
Boil spelt, pre-soaked and rinsed for a few hours, in fresh, salted water. Ratio: 3 (1 portion of spelt to 3 portions of water) for approx. 90 minutes.
