Organic Ceylon Ground Cinnamon is a high quality spice made from the bark of the cinnamon tree (Cinnamomum verum). After the bark has been collected and dried, it is finely shredded and ground into dust. This process can be repeated up to several times a year without harming the tree. You can use cinnamon to spice up desserts such as puddings, milk drinks, cookies and pastries. It is also used to flavor punch and various beverages such as cabbage, sodas, as well as coffee, cocoa, and tea. A small amount of cinnamon can be added to dishes such as stews, mutton, beef, boiled fish and ham based dishes. Dary Natury's organic ground cinnamon is obtained from organic farming in Sri Lanka. Ceylon cinnamon is light brown in color and has a delicate aroma. It is naturally rich in vitamins A, C, E and components of the B vitamins. Ground organic Ceylon cinnamon contains magnesium, calcium, potassium, iron and phosphorus as well as essential oils that determine its unique aroma. The addition of cinnamon stimulates the functioning of the digestive system and supports the proper functioning of the nervous and circulatory systems, including helping to lower blood pressure.
