BIG NATURE Ground Cardamom 100 g

Cardamom spice is mainly used to flavor flour and sweets. It is added to cake batter, gingerbread, cookies, and coffee cakes. Thanks to its rich aroma, the spice gives the products a pleasant scent that remains even when baking at high temperatures.

Cardamom can also be used as a spice in soft drinks, fruit marinades, liqueurs, and spirits. Experienced cooks use it to enhance the flavor of fish dishes. Cardamom should be used with great care. Due to its intense aroma, a large amount of cardamom can "overwhelm" the taste of all other foods and spices in a dish. Therefore, one pod (already ground) or a pinch of the spice per 1 kg of dough is more than enough.

For liquids (soups or compotes), 1/3 of a pod is enough to achieve a pleasant aroma. The time needed to add cardamom to a drink or liquid depends on the type of dish. The seeds should be added five minutes before the end of cooking time, the ground spice a few seconds earlier.
