guarana or Paulinia guarana or Paulinia Cupana is a plant native to South and Central America whose properties have been valued for centuries by the indigenous people of present-day Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina. The name of this product comes from the name of the Guarani tribe. Today is Guarana available in the form of dietary supplements in capsule or powder form. It is also added to energy drinks. In drugstores you can also find cosmetics with guarana, e.g. balms that help against cellulite. Let's check what properties it has and in what form it can be taken.
Guarana - properties
Guarana is particularly rich in caffeine, which contains twice as much as coffee, catechins and procyanidins. All these substances have a stimulating and stimulating effect, more precisely:
- promotes concentration and memory,
- sharpens the senses and increases reflexes,
- supports the condition of people suffering from chronic fatigue,
- warms the body, gives a feeling of warmth,

Guarana - how to brew?
Guarana infusion can successfully replace your morning coffee. All you have to do is pour a cup with a teaspoon of guarana powder into hot but not boiling water (preferably around 90°C). Steamed ground Guarana guarantees a natural boost of energy and well-being. Powdered guarana can be used by adding it to various dishes and smoothies and even plain yogurt. It is worth getting acquainted with some of the most interesting and healthy proposals.
Guarana - Recipes
Fruit or vegetable cocktails, smoothies, shakes, with or without yoghurt, sweet or dry - all receive additional health-promoting properties through the addition of guarana. They can be treated as a dessert, replenish micronutrients post-workout, or eat for an uplifting breakfast. Fruit with guarana can be mixed freely depending on our individual preferences. It can be strawberries, bananas, kiwi. For the lighter version, you can add sugar-free plant-based milk or substitute plain yogurt if you want a thick dessert. Cocktails can be sweetened with a little honey, dates, or xylitol.
- Guarana Chocolate Cocktail:
- A cup of small plain yogurt
- Banana

- A teaspoon of powdered guarana
- All the ingredients are enough to mix to create a delicious, sweet and nutritious cocktail. Yoghurt can be replaced with plant-based milk or add a tablespoon of peanut butter, for example.
