Vitamin B3 is known as PP, niacin and nicotinic acid. It is a water-soluble vitamin that is very stable, it is not very sensitive to high temperatures, oxygen and UV rays. In foods it is found in poultry, pork, grains and potatoes.
Niacinamide is the main form of vitamin B3, which circulates in the bloodstream and is needed for cellular energy (ATP) synthesis, folic acid activation and glutathione regeneration. Niacinamide and niacin are the two forms of vitamin B3. Niacinamide is in a form that should not cause redness or irritation to the skin.
This vitamin affects the proper functioning of the nervous system, maintains normal mental functions, and is involved in the synthesis of hormones.
