The artichoke is a perennial plant in the Asteraceae family. It originates from the Mediterranean region but is now cultivated throughout Europe and North America. Appreciated in ancient Greece, it has recently become popular in Poland.

They can help maintain normal cholesterol levels in the body and also have a positive effect on the circulatory and digestive systems. They are a scaly vegetable with a green color that's somewhere between olive and grassy, ​​and they're uniquely rich in nutrients, including vitamins A, B, C, E, and K, and mineral salts such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus, potassium, and iron.
Artichokes are perfect as a main course or as a healthy snack. They're also recommended for salads, soups, and sauces.
