The way you eat fenugreek depends on the effect you want to achieve. To stimulate appetite, it is best to eat it before a meal. Drinking fenugreek (in the form of an infusion) can be used for problems with the respiratory or digestive systems. Whole seeds (2 teaspoons) should be poured with hot water and wait 30 minutes. We can also successfully use "God's Herb" as a spice in our kitchen. Ground fenugreek is seasoned with cooked veggies, cottage cheese, and yogurt dips. It can be used to flavor cheese cutlets and egg dishes. Before adding it to some dishes, it is worth soaking it in water or roasting it in a dry pan. This eliminates the characteristic bitter aftertaste. The water in which the grains have been soaked can be used to make an interesting drink. Just mix it with honey and you're done. Fenugreek enriches the taste of spicy soups, broths or homemade bread. We can also add it to cheese. It goes well with potatoes, fish and tomato dishes. An interesting idea is to prepare homemade mustard with fenugreek. All you need is apple cider vinegar, mustard seeds, a pinch of cinnamon, garlic and salt. This original taste will surely delight all household members.
Fenugreek is an important ingredient in vegetarian cuisine because it gives a pleasant aroma to vegetable dishes. Fenugreek is an ingredient in curry. It is used in cooking as a seed that is ground in a mortar. It is mainly found in Indian and Thai cuisine - this herb is part of many national dishes and gives them a distinctive, spicy note.
